Privacy Policy

Quiet is a 100% on-device AI assistant for iPhone and iPad. This policy describes what data the app handles. The short version: none of your prompts, responses, attachments, or settings leave your device.

What Quiet does not collect

• Your prompts and the AI's responses. They are processed on your device by Apple Intelligence and stored locally in the app's container.
• Identifiers, accounts, emails, or contact info. There is no sign-in.
• Analytics, telemetry, or crash reports sent to us. We use no third-party analytics SDK.
• Advertising identifiers. The app contains no ad SDKs.
• Location, photos, microphone, contacts, or health data. The app does not request these permissions.

What stays on your device

• Your conversations and any custom templates you create — stored in the app's local SwiftData store with iOS file protection enabled.
• App preferences (selected tab, accessibility settings, onboarding-complete flag) in standard iOS UserDefaults.

Optional iCloud sync (Pro+)

If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, your conversations are synced via Apple CloudKit's private database in your own iCloud account. Apple's end-to-end encryption applies. We have no access to your iCloud data and no way to enumerate users. You can turn sync off at any time in Settings.

Payments and subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed by Apple via the App Store. Apple shares only the anonymous transaction needed for Quiet to know which tier (Free / Pro / Pro+) you have. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details. You can manage or cancel anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.

No third-party AI APIs

Quiet does not call OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other third-party AI provider. All AI runs on your device using Apple's FoundationModels framework. Quiet makes zero outgoing HTTP requests at runtime apart from Apple-mediated services (StoreKit, CloudKit if you turned on sync).

Children

Quiet is rated 12+ because it generates text content. The app does not collect any data, including from children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, the new version will be effective the date listed at the top. Earlier versions are available on request.
