Daystack is built around one principle: your calendar data stays yours. We don't operate a server. We don't analyze your events. We don't sell, share, or upload anything to a backend we control.

What we collect

Nothing leaves your device that we can read. Daystack stores Calendar Sets, custom phrases, and Travel Time preferences locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. If you turn on Pro+ sync, those preferences sync via your own iCloud — Apple end-to-end encrypts iCloud syncs.

What we access (with your permission)

• Calendars (EventKit) — to read and write events in your existing iCloud / Google / Exchange calendars. Events never leave your device.
• Contacts — when you type a name in the natural-language field, Daystack queries the system Contacts framework to suggest the right person. The query runs only while you type and is not stored.
• Location (when in use) — only when you turn on Travel Time, so Daystack can compute drive / walk / transit duration between events with locations. Your location is used only on-device.
• Reminders — only if you opt into the unified timeline.
• Photos — only if you attach a photo to an event.
• Microphone & Speech Recognition — only when you tap the microphone to dictate an event. Recognition runs on-device.

Apple-mediated services we use

• WeatherKit — for per-event weather. Apple does not send your identity to us with weather requests.
• MapKit (MKLocalSearch and MKDirections) — to look up place names and compute travel time. Apple does not send your identity to us with these requests.
• CloudKit — for optional Pro+ sync. Uses your own iCloud container.
• StoreKit — for subscriptions. Apple processes all payments.

Third-party SDKs

None. Daystack contains no third-party SDKs. No analytics. No crash-reporting SDK. No advertising. No tracking. We use only Apple's OSLog for local diagnostics.

Children

Daystack is rated 4+. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Since we do not collect your data, there is nothing to export, correct, or delete server-side. You can export your events directly through the system Calendar app at any time, and uninstalling Daystack removes our local data immediately. Calendar data in iCloud / Google / Exchange remains untouched.
