One sentence: Clean does not collect, transmit, or store any of your photos, videos, fingerprints, or usage data on any server we operate. Nothing leaves your phone.

What stays on your device

The fingerprints Clean computes (SHA-256 hashes, perceptual hashes, Vision feature prints, blur scores) are stored only in the app's local sandbox.
The list of past deletion events and the app's settings are stored locally.
The fingerprint cache is excluded from iCloud Backup so it never reaches Apple's servers.

What Clean does NOT do

No analytics SDK. No crash reporter. No A/B testing tool.
No third-party advertising SDK. No tracking pixel.
No upload of any photo, video, thumbnail, or pixel data — ever.
No account or sign-in.

Apple system services Clean uses

Photos framework — to enumerate your library locally and to issue deletion requests via Apple's standard confirmation dialog.
Vision framework — to compute feature prints on the Neural Engine, on-device.
StoreKit 2 — Apple processes subscriptions. We never see your payment information.
Background Tasks — to wake up briefly for incremental scanning. No network is used.

Children's privacy

Clean is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because we do not collect anything at all.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. We will never start collecting data without first updating this policy and the in-app Settings → Privacy promise screen.
