Quick answers

How do household members see my records?

You and the members you invite all need to be signed in to iCloud on iPhone (iOS 17+). When you invite a member from Settings → Household, Apple's CloudKit Sharing creates a private share between your devices. Records appear within seconds when both devices are online.

Can I use Dog without a partner?

Yes. Dog is also great solo — reminders, widgets, weight curves, vaccine reminders, training tracking all work for one person. You can later invite a sitter or family member.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, find Dog, and tap Cancel. The current period stays active until expiration. From inside Dog, Settings → Subscription → "Manage subscription in App Store" opens the same screen.

The vaccine scan didn't fill in a date.

Dog uses Apple's on-device Vision OCR. Hold the certificate flat in good light. If the date format is unusual, tap Continue and edit before saving — the OCR result is a draft.

My dog passed away.

We're sorry. Inside the dog's profile, choose "Mark as memorial". Reminders stop, the dog stays in your history, and you can build a remembrance PDF album from every photo and log. You can exit memorial mode at any time.

Where is my data stored?

Locally on your device with SwiftData, and (when household sharing is enabled) in your private iCloud container. There is no Dog server.

Reset / delete data

Delete the app to wipe local data. To remove the shared iCloud copy, go to iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → "Apps Using iCloud" → Dog → Delete data.
