Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-05-20

Dream is built so that the developer (Zhang Jiahao) cannot see your dreams. The app does not use any backend, account, or third-party SDK. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do.

1. What we collect

Nothing. Dream does not have a server. There is no account creation, no email collection, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising network. The App Store privacy nutrition label is marked Data Not Collected.

2. What stays on your iPhone

3. Permissions we ask for

We do not request Camera, Photos, Contacts, Location, Calendar, Reminders, Health, Bluetooth, or any background mode.

4. Subscriptions

Dream uses Apple's StoreKit. When you start a free trial or subscribe, Apple processes the transaction. We receive an anonymous transaction id used only to unlock features. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details.

5. Year in Dreams sharing

If you generate and share a Year-in-Dreams image, the resulting PNG contains only counts and top-tag names — never the text of any dream. The share image is created on your device. When you tap a destination in the iOS Share Sheet, iOS hands the file to whatever app or service you chose; what that app does is governed by its own privacy policy.

6. Data we never share

We never sell, trade, share, or transmit your dreams or any derivative of them. There is no mechanism in the app that does so.

7. Children

Dream is rated 17+ because dream content can include adult themes. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone — the previous sections apply equally regardless of the user's age.

8. Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy in a future version, the new policy will appear on this page with an updated effective date.
