Summary

Fridge is built so that everything lives on your device. We don't run a server, we don't collect analytics, and we don't share your data with anyone. The only places your data can travel are (a) Apple's own iCloud, if you choose to enable Family share on a Pro+ subscription, and (b) Apple, for the StoreKit purchase you make to unlock Pro or Pro+.

Data we collect

None. The App Privacy Nutrition Label declares every category as "Not Collected".

Data stored on your device

• Inventory items — every food item you add (name, location, quantity, expiration date, optional brand and price). Stored in SwiftData with iOS file protection.
• Receipts — line-item details extracted from receipts you scan, plus the OCR'd text. Receipt images are not retained unless you explicitly save them to Photos.
• Shopping list, household settings (notification hour, expiration buffer), and StoreKit transaction history (provided by iOS).

Permissions

• Camera — only when you tap "Scan with camera". The captured frame is fed into on-device Apple Vision and discarded.
• Photo library — only when you tap "Pick from photos".
• Notifications — to send expiration reminders. You can disable per-item or daily-digest reminders at any time in Settings.

iCloud Family share (Pro+ only, opt-in)

Pro+ subscribers can enable iCloud Family share, which uses Apple's CloudKit to sync the same household inventory across devices in a Family Sharing group. Apple controls the encryption keys; we never see your data. You can disable Family share at any time from Settings.

Subscriptions

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit 2. We receive only the subscription status (active or not) and never your Apple ID, payment method, or billing address.

Children

Fridge is rated 4+ and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

You can delete every item, receipt, and shopping-list entry from inside the app: Settings → Erase all data. Once cleared, the data is gone from your device and any iCloud copy.
