My receipt didn't read perfectly. What now?
Tap any line in the review sheet to edit the name, change the location, or fix the quantity. The OCR confidence flag appears on best-guess matches. You can also delete a line before saving.
How does Fridge pick the expiration date?
Every item maps to a hand-curated USDA-based shelf life that depends on storage (fridge, freezer, pantry, counter). If we don't recognise the item, we fall back to 7 days and tell you, so you can adjust. Move an item between locations and the date is re-estimated automatically unless you manually overrode it.
How do I stop the daily 9 AM digest?
Settings → Notifications → Daily 9 AM digest. Per-item alerts have their own toggle.
Where do I cancel my subscription?
Apple controls subscription billing. Tap Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription in Fridge, or go to iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
Can I share my fridge with the family?
Yes — Pro+ subscribers unlock iCloud Family share. Sign in to iCloud on each device, then enable Family share in Settings → Sharing → Family share. Everyone in your iOS Family Sharing group can edit the same inventory in real time.
How do I delete everything?
Settings → Erase all data. We delete every inventory item, shopping-list entry, and receipt on this device. iCloud copies on other devices in your household share are also removed.
Why doesn't Fridge use a cloud backend?
Because we don't need one. All OCR, matching, and expiration logic runs on-device with Apple Vision and bundled data. iCloud (managed by Apple) is the only network path the app uses.
