Summary

Lock does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. No accounts. No analytics SDKs. No tracking. No ads.

Data we never collect

• Name, email, phone, address.
• Photos, contacts, calendar events, reminders, notes, or any media you grant the app access to.
• Step count, heart rate, sleep, or any other HealthKit data.
• Location coordinates beyond a one-shot request for weather refresh.
• Crash reports, usage analytics, install attribution, or advertising identifiers.

What stays on your device

Your widget configurations, saved themes, photo selections, and Live Activity setups are stored in a private SwiftData store on your iPhone (and shared with Lock's WidgetKit extension via an App Group). They are protected by iOS's complete file-protection class and are encrypted by iOS.

Apple-mediated services we use

• WeatherKit — when you place a weather widget, the widget requests your current weather from Apple's WeatherKit service. Apple is the controller of that data; we never see it.
• HealthKit — read-only access to your step count, used by step widgets. The data never leaves your device.
• PhotoKit — read-only access to photos you pick for photo widgets. Photos stay on your device.
• CloudKit (Pro+ only) — if you opt in to iCloud sync of saved themes, your theme metadata syncs through your private iCloud database, encrypted end-to-end by Apple.
• StoreKit — Apple processes subscription purchases. We receive a verified receipt but never your payment information.

Children

Lock is rated 4+ but is not targeted at children. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

International users

Because Lock does not collect or transmit data, no international transfer occurs.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version at this URL.
