Miles Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 May 2026 · Effective: 12 May 2026

The short version

Your GPS trace never leaves your iPhone. Miles has no servers. There is nothing for anyone to subpoena, hack, or accidentally leak. We do not sell, share, or have access to your location history.

What data Miles processes

What Miles does NOT do

Optional iCloud sync (Pro+ only, off by default)

If you enable iCloud sync, Miles writes summary metadata — date, distance, classification, purpose tag, address strings — to your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. The data is encrypted at rest by Apple and is not accessible to Miles. We never see it. If you sign out of iCloud or delete the app, the data is removed automatically.

In-app purchases & StoreKit

Subscription purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit. Miles receives only a receipt indicating which subscription is active and when it renews. We do not collect payment details.

Children

Miles is rated 4+ and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

App Tracking Transparency

Miles does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. We do not show the ATT prompt because we do not track.

Your rights

You can export or delete all your Miles data at any time from Settings → Privacy & data. Because data lives on your device, deletion is immediate and complete.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in any material way, we will update the date at the top and post a note in the app's Settings → About.
