The 3-day clock starts after your last successful check-in. If you opened the app and tapped "I'm Back" at any point in the last 3 days, the counter reset.
Settings (iOS) → Notifications → Overlord → make sure all toggles are on. Inside the app, Settings → Notifications → confirm scheduling is enabled.
Overlord is fiction. The "boss" characters are not real people. The "BENCHED" mechanic is a deliberate satire of corporate-style accountability and not intended as actual psychological pressure.
