Privacy Policy — Snaptab

This privacy policy describes how the iOS app "Snaptab" (the "App") handles your data.

Summary

The App does not collect, transmit, or sell any of your data. There is no account. There is no backend. The App runs entirely on your device.

What stays on your device

• Snaptab photos you capture or import
• OCR (text recognition) output extracted from those photos
• Merchant, amount, date, category, and other receipt fields
• Projects you create and the receipts you assign to them
• Your preferred categories, currency, and other in-app settings

All of the above is stored in your device's app sandbox under iOS file protection class "complete". The App does not back this data up to any server we operate.

iCloud (optional, deferred)

Snaptab v1.0 does not enable iCloud sync. A future version may, at which point the data is encrypted and synced through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure under your Apple ID; we never have access to it.

Permissions we request

• Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription) — used by Apple's VisionKit document camera when you tap "Open Camera" on the Scan tab. The image stays on your device.
• Photo Library (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription) — used when you tap "Import from Photos" so iOS can let you pick an existing receipt photo. The image stays on your device.
• Photo Library — Add (NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription) — used if you choose to save a captured receipt back to your Photos library via the iOS share sheet. Optional.

What we do NOT collect

No analytics. No crash reports beyond Apple's own anonymized stack-trace service that you control in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. No advertising identifiers. No third-party SDK with network access is bundled in the App.

Subscriptions

The four in-app subscriptions are processed by Apple under the standard App Store Auto-Renewable Subscription terms. We receive only an anonymized transaction identifier — no name, no email, no payment information.

Children

Snaptab is rated 4+ but is built for adult business use. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
