This is the privacy policy for Hush, an iPhone app made by Hush Sounds. The short version: Hush does not collect anything. The long version follows.
None. Hush has no analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry, no marketing identifiers, no advertising SDKs, no third-party trackers, and no server we operate. The app does not require an account.
Hush stores your saved recipes, playback history, and preferences locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is protected by iOS file-protection and is removed when you delete the app.
If you enable iCloud Recipe Sync (Pro+), your saved recipes are uploaded to your private iCloud container using CloudKit. We — the developer — do not see this data. It is end-to-end encrypted by Apple and tied to your Apple ID. You can disable sync or delete the iCloud container at any time from iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
If you enable HealthKit (Pro+), Hush writes a Mindful Minutes sample to Apple Health for each completed playback session and reads aggregated sleep statistics so you can see which recipes correlate with your best rest. This data never leaves your device. We do not see it. You control which categories Hush can read or write from iOS Settings → Privacy → Health → Hush.
If you enable Custom Recording (Pro+), Hush will request microphone access and save your recording locally. Recordings are not uploaded anywhere. We have no way to access them.
Subscription payments are handled by Apple via the App Store. Apple shares anonymous subscription state (active / trial / lapsed) with Hush so the app can show or hide premium features. Apple's privacy policy applies to that exchange.
Hush is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children, because we do not collect data.
