Stitch is built to be a video journal that never leaves your iPhone. This policy explains exactly what data Stitch handles and what it does with it.

Data we collect

None. Stitch does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server controlled by us, because we operate no servers.

Data that stays on your device

• Daily video clips you record. Stored inside Stitch's sandbox on your device.
• Snippet metadata (the date of each clip, the journal it belongs to). Stored in Stitch's local SwiftData database.
• Subscription state. Managed by Apple's StoreKit. We never see your Apple ID.

Optional iCloud features

If you turn on the Pro+ "iCloud Drive archive" option, Stitch writes archived year-end movies to your iCloud Drive folder using Apple's standard mechanism. Apple — not us — handles that storage. You can delete the archive at any time.

Permissions Stitch asks for

• Camera and Microphone: only when you tap Record. Captured locally; never uploaded.
• Photo library: only when you save the year-end movie to Photos, or import a Live Photo / existing clip.
• Apple Music: only if you pick a song from your library as the soundtrack. Music stays on your device.
• Notifications: only if you turn on the daily reminder.

Third parties

Stitch contains no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporter SDKs, no tracking SDKs, no advertising SDKs.

Children

Stitch is rated 4+. We don't knowingly collect any data about children — or about anyone else — because we don't collect any data.
