Privacy Policy

Sync is built on a simple principle: we collect nothing. There is no account,
no backend server we operate, and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your
device.
Data we collect
None. Our App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected"
in every category, and that is literally true. We run no server, so there is
nowhere for your data to go.
Data you enter
- On-device only. Phase notes, postpartum progress, and saved
gestures are stored locally with Apple's
NSFileProtectionComplete.
- Calendar (Pro, optional). If you connect a calendar, Sync
reads only the single calendar you pick and only events whose title
begins with your chosen prefix (e.g.
[Sync]). Sync never writes to
your calendar and never reads any other calendar.
- Paired device (Plus, optional). Uses Apple's
end-to-end-encrypted CloudKit in your own iCloud. Only the two paired
people can see it, either person can sever it instantly, and we have no admin
view because we run no server.
Anti-weaponization commitments
- Sync never tracks, predicts, or surveils the menstruating person.
- Sync never accesses HealthKit, location, contacts, or photos.
- Pairing requires both people to install Sync and both to consent.
- The menstruating partner controls every share and can stop it in one tap.
- In-app searches that signal surveillance intent are blocked and met with
relationship-safety resources.
Third parties
No third-party SDKs, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporters beyond
Apple's own system-level MetricKit (which you can disable in iOS Settings →
Privacy → Analytics & Improvements).
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to export, sell, or
delete on a server. You can delete everything instantly in Settings → "Delete all
data".
