the wall

roommate.

the roommate next door. they never speak. they're just there.

what it is

Roommate plays a layered ambient mix that sounds like someone in the next room. They make coffee at 7am, type on a keyboard mid-morning, take a shower at 9pm. The schedule drifts ±10 minutes a day so it feels alive. You can knock the wall once an hour for a soft response — a cough, a chair shift, a cabinet closing.

If you want to text them, you can. Their replies are generated on your device by a template engine. There is no AI model. There is no server. There is no human on the other side. We deliberately built it this way.

what it isn't

who it's for

People who live alone. People with ADHD who use the "body double" technique to focus. People working from home who miss the hum of someone nearby. People who like the company of a quiet apartment but don't want one any more.

privacy

We don't collect anything. No account, no email, no advertising ID. Your roommate selection, your knock cooldown, the chats you've exchanged — all of it stays on your device. Read the full privacy policy.
