Common questions

Why won't the AI Judge let me out early?

That is the entire point. You picked the AI Judge specifically because it does not negotiate. If you want an emergency unlock as an option, choose Random Delay or Charity Lock when starting a session.

The blocked apps still open. Why?

Solo Lock relies on Apple's Family Controls API, which requires you to grant Screen Time authorization once. Open Settings → Screen Time → App & Website Activity → Solo Lock and confirm authorization is granted. Sessions started before the grant won't shield apps until the next session.

I broke a Charity Lock — when does the charity receive the money?

Charity payouts are batched monthly, in the calendar month after the broken session. Solo Lock keeps $0; 100% of the fee is forwarded to your selected 501(c)(3).

Will Solo Lock work without internet?

Yes. Sessions, the AI Judge chat, history, and emergency unlock flows are fully offline. Charity Lock charging requires a network connection at the moment of breaking.

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

Open Apple's subscription page on your device, find Solo Lock Pro, and cancel. You'll keep Pro features until the end of the current billing period.

Can I export my history?

Not yet — it is on the roadmap. Until then, your history lives on-device in JSON form. If you migrate to a new iPhone via iCloud, it migrates with the app.
