Terms of Service

Short version. Use Cleanup AI to edit your own photos. Don't use it to harass, defraud, or violate anyone's rights. Subscriptions auto-renew via Apple unless you cancel. We provide the app "as is" with the typical limitation of liability you'd expect.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Cleanup AI (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Standard EULA, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to:

Edit photos you do not own or do not have the right to edit.
Create deceptive imagery intended to defraud, defame, harass, or impersonate any person.
Generate, transmit, or store any content that is unlawful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that violates the privacy or intellectual property rights of any person.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
Resell, redistribute, or sub-license the App or any output produced by it as your own software product.

You retain ownership of the photos you edit. We claim no rights to your input or output.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Cleanup AI offers a free tier (3 cleanups per day, on-device only) and paid tiers ("Pro Monthly", "Pro Yearly", "Pro+", and "Lifetime"). All purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms.

5.1 Auto-renewing subscriptions

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription via iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Cleanup AI.
Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5.2 Lifetime purchase

The "Lifetime" tier is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It grants Pro features for the lifetime of the App on Apple devices linked to your Apple ID. It is not a subscription and does not auto-renew.

5.3 Refunds

All refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue refunds directly.

6. Cloud HD service

The Cloud HD feature is an opt-in, per-photo upload to a server-side inpainting model. It requires an active internet connection and a Pro subscription. Photos uploaded for Cloud HD processing are encrypted in transit and deleted from servers within 60 seconds. See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. Output disclaimer

The App uses machine-learning models to synthesize replacement pixels. The output is an approximation, not a recovery of what was actually behind the removed object. Output quality varies with photo content and we make no representation that any specific result is achievable.

8. Updates

We may update the App from time to time, including changes to features, pricing, and these Terms. Material changes to the Terms will be notified in-app or via the App Store update notes. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or any applicable law. On termination, the limited license granted to you immediately ends.

10. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CLEANUP AI, ITS OWNERS, OR ITS CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cleanup AI and its contributors from any claim arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of the App's primary developer, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

14. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and Cleanup AI, not Apple. Apple has no responsibility for the App or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation.
Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
