Privacy Policy

Plain summary

Fast is a fasting timer with an on-device coach. Your fasting history, HealthKit reads, water logs, and notes live on your device. We do not sell, trade, or rent any of it.

What stays on your device

• Fasting sessions (start/end times, protocol, broken-or-completed flag)
• HealthKit reads (sleep hours, HRV, body mass, active energy, menstrual flow) — read each session, not stored verbatim
• Water and electrolyte logs
• Coach card history (last 30 entries)
• Goal preference and protocol preference
• Notification preferences

What we collect (and why)

• Anonymous purchase receipts — required by StoreKit to validate Pro / Lifetime entitlements. Apple-managed, never linked to your name.
• Crash reports — anonymous, opt-in, stripped of identifiers.

What we never collect

• Your name, email, address, or phone number
• Body photos, before/after photos, or any image
• Continuous location
• Contacts or social graph

HealthKit

HealthKit access is requested contextually — the first time a coach card needs it. Fast reads sleep analysis, heart-rate variability, body mass and active energy, and writes the water and dietary energy you log in the app. It reads nothing else. You can revoke at any time in Settings → Health → Fast. Revoking simply makes the coach work from your manual logs instead.

Coach engine

The "AI coach" runs entirely on-device. It uses a deterministic template engine — there is no LLM call, no network round-trip, and your HealthKit data never leaves the phone for coach purposes.

Sync

There is none. Fast declares no iCloud entitlement and has no cloud sync of any kind, so your history exists on one device only. Deleting the app deletes it.

Children

Fast is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete all data wipes fasting history, water logs, coach history and preferences from the device and cancels pending notifications. There is no separate export feature.

Changes

We will update this page in-app whenever the policy materially changes. The bottom of the page always shows the effective date.
