End-User License Agreement

This agreement governs your use of the Stargaze iOS application (the "App") distributed by Atrium ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these terms. The App is licensed (not sold) to you under Apple's standard licensed application end-user license agreement (the "Apple EULA"), available at apple.com/legal/...stdeula. The provisions below are in addition to, and do not replace, the Apple EULA.

1. Subscription

Stargaze offers four auto-renewing subscription products via Apple's App Store:

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. No partial refunds are offered for unused portions of a period except as required by law.

2. Free trials

One free trial per Apple ID. If you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged. We send a reminder 24 hours before the trial converts to a paid subscription.

3. Permitted use

Stargaze is an educational planetarium app intended for personal stargazing, learning, and event tracking. Do not use Stargaze for navigation, aviation, marine navigation, telescope alignment for medical observations, or any safety-critical purpose. The astronomical computations are accurate to within a few arc-minutes for the current epoch — adequate for amateur astronomy, not for professional or safety-critical use.

4. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied) including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

5. Intellectual property

The App, its source code, copy, and graphics are owned by Atrium. The astronomical algorithms and catalogues used (VSOP87, SGP4, Yale Bright Star Catalog, IAU constellation lists) are public domain and used in accordance with their licences.

6. Termination

This agreement is effective until terminated by either party. You may terminate by deleting the App and any subscription through Apple's settings.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
