Community Guidelines · The Room
Honest, anonymous, kind.
The Room is small on purpose — 12 women, matched by age and symptoms. These rules are how we keep it useful.
Zero tolerance
Harassment, hate speech, threats of violence, sexually explicit content, doxxing, and content that promotes self-harm are removed and result in immediate, permanent removal from The Room.
What The Room is for
- Sharing what you are experiencing in your own body, in your own words.
- Asking other women what worked for them.
- Naming things that are hard to say out loud — and being met with "me too."
- Building a private record of how this transition feels for you, alongside others on the same path.
What The Room is not for
- Selling. No supplements, courses, coaching, affiliate links, or "DM me for more" pitches. Posts that promote products are removed.
- Diagnosing. Phase is not a clinic. Suggesting a stranger has a specific medical condition is unsafe and removed.
- Identifying. Do not share your full name, your handle on other platforms, your employer, your city, your photo, or details that identify another member.
- Hostility. "Why are you complaining," "you should just exercise," "this is what every woman goes through" — that energy is not what we are here for.
- Crisis support. The Room is asynchronous and small. If you or someone you know is in danger, please use the resources below.
Reporting and blocking
Every message in The Room has a menu (the ··· button) with two options:
- Report message. Choose a reason: harmful or harassing, spam, medical misinformation, self-harm content, or other. The report is logged on your device and the message is hidden from your view.
- Block & mute. The author of that message can no longer reach you. Their future messages are hidden from your view, and you are removed from any further matching with them.
Because Room messages are encrypted on your device, we never see the content of a reported message. Reports are aggregated locally to inform on-device filtering and to surface repeat patterns to our trust & safety review process.
What we do with reports
The Room is moderated by people, not algorithms.
- A human reviewer evaluates the structural metadata of repeat reports (frequency, pattern, severity).
- If a member's account is repeatedly reported for clear policy violations, we suspend their access to The Room.
- For threats of violence or signals of imminent self-harm, we may escalate per applicable law and to relevant emergency services where required by jurisdiction.
If you are in crisis
The Room is not a substitute for crisis support. Please reach out to a real person right now if you are in danger.
- United States: 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) · text HOME to 741741
- United Kingdom: Samaritans 116 123

Appeals
If your access to The Room is suspended and you believe the decision was wrong, write to jasperabundant@gmail.com. Include the date and a brief description; do not reproduce the disputed message. We aim to respond within 7 business days.
